The Merrill House

This lovingly renovated boutique hotel was featured in TorontoLife.com, Lxry.ca, buildanewlife.ca to name a few. Built-in 1878, The Merrill House is a Prince Edward County landmark.

Our client’s goal with this project was to create a space that would provide a stunning entry to the restaurant and also provide an outdoor patio and waiting area. The landscape design and the materials used needed to be both practical and durable. They also had to be in keeping with the gothic revival look of the property.

Unilock’s Copthorne pavers were used for most of the patio and walkway areas. Brussels Block banding and accents keep the design flowing around the entire property.

Copthorne offers the look of clay bricks but with Unilock’s Enduracolour technology. This helps them keep their vibrant look year after year without fading.

The Brussels accents offer a bright contrast to Copthorne’s deep red. A visually appealing way to direct traffic by day or after dark…and a couple of glasses of award-winning wine.
